New York City-based muralist Danielle Mastrion painted this expansive outdoor mural at the W Downtown Residences rooftop inspired by New York’s storied downtown graffiti scene and W’s aesthetic influenced by design, fashion and music. The end result infuses the outdoor space with energizing color and a bold pattern designed to inspire social interaction and fuel creativity.

This ambitious 23’W x 58’H multimedia installation titled Turbulent Tranquility by Bryan and Michelle P. Dodson of Integrated Visions consists of a hand-painted mural with timed projections and a mapped animation overlay. During the day, the mural is illuminated by the natural sunlight in the hotel atrium; at night, four industrial laser projectors shine multidimensional effects onto the mural, creating illusory dreamlike patterns that are inspired by the flowing ocean waters surrounding the resort.
